[Elmer was awake, reading a book on his tablet, when Monica comes to the window. He's slightly startled at first, but when he sees the figure outside, he knows exactly who it is. Grinning, he gets up to open the window for her.]

However, when he opens the photo album, he'll find it filled with pictures of people smiling and having fun. It looks like she took these photos on their shopping trip, which is probably the reason why she kept getting seperated from him only to meet up again with him later.
At the very end, as she promised, is a photograph of herself smiling. At the end of the photo album is a note that says, "Merry Christmas, Elmer! :)"]
Carol is also getting a gift from him! He's getting her a good old fashioned polaroid camera and plenty of film for it. This way, she can take lots of pictures and not have to worry about getting the pictures developed. :D]
[At some point between the beginning of the 24th and the end of the 25th, Christopher delivers (handed off in person or left at a doorstep) a Christmas gift: frowny-face cookies that, if flipped over, then show smiling faces. It is given with all the best Christmas wishes from a friend.]

They're all science books on different topics; biology, astronomy, whatever he could find. But, they're all from Exsilium's world, and as current as he could find. He figured Huey might be interested into what the folks in this new timelinr have been up to, so this will give him a start.]

This means that he has left (or tried to leave, if Elmer catches him in the act) a dead fish in Elmer's mailbox. He is unaware that this might not be the best thing for him to do, but this is what happens when an animal brings tokens of affection and has thumbs to open mailboxes with.
