[Quiet though it is, Christopher's voice doesn't break. It is dull, dead. The sound of submission.] I was dissected. It wasn't to learn anything about me, though, so—it isn't really dissection. But it looks, feels the same. [He has to hold onto that idea. He can't let this be like the laboratory. He doesn't want his mind to return to that Hell.]
