[At some point on Christmas Eve, there's a brightly-wrapped package that's been left at Elmer's residence. On the package is a tag that says "To: Elmer, From: Carol". When he opens his gift, he'll find a simple-looking photo album with his name on it.
However, when he opens the photo album, he'll find it filled with pictures of people smiling and having fun. It looks like she took these photos on their shopping trip, which is probably the reason why she kept getting seperated from him only to meet up again with him later.
At the very end, as she promised, is a photograph of herself smiling. At the end of the photo album is a note that says, "Merry Christmas, Elmer! :)"]
Carol is also getting a gift from him! He's getting her a good old fashioned polaroid camera and plenty of film for it. This way, she can take lots of pictures and not have to worry about getting the pictures developed. :D]
